When choosing a Domain Name there are many considerations, ie., if possible it should contain your business product or service, no hyphens or other 'punctuation-type' characters, and unless you are extremely well known nation-wide, it is not recommended you use your actual business name unless it contains your product or service. Once your name has been registered you can then submit the technical information where the site is to be located with your domain registrant. If you choose, Moncrief Web Design can take care of everything for you. All you will need is to select the name you desire from the available names we search out. There is a $75.00 charge to conduct the search, register the name, complete necessary forms, and establish the site's IP address once a host provider has been selected. This registration will be good for 2 years, at that time you will need to renew the name. All registration and contact information for your Domain Name will be turned over on completion of registration and payment in full. Note: The actual costs associated with registering your domain (ie, yourbusiness.com) are not included in the $75.00. The additional costs and fees charged by the registering entity will require a valid company credit card for billing purposes. We do not retain any credit card information on file. If you are not sure of the domain services you should subscribe to, we will be pleased to discuss them with you or explain the various options that are offered. Cost: $75.00 (.com registration fees extra) Hosting Set-Up   Hosting vs. ISP?Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is your local connection to the Internet. Your hosting provider can literally be anywhere. We can recommend a hosting service for your site which offers professional service that includes reasonable rates to fit your budgetary and Web Site needs. Our preferred hosting service also offers statistical reports - yearly, monthly, daily - so you can track your 'hits'; multiple email accounts based on the plan you select - this includes email forwarding and auto-respond; cgi handling - for email forms; URL redirect; and much more. * Included in setting up your hosting service are setting up of email accounts, forward emails to your current email address, auto-respond if desired, email assistance for your webmaster if needed, and package containing complete information about your hosting provider. While we do not recommend moving a Web Site from one hosting service to another, sometimes it is necessary. Should you find yourself in this situation, Moncrief Wed Design can help.
